Julian Noble is a Mexican/American Filmmaker.
He was born in Newport Beach, California, Nov. 13 1990 (Age 33), but moved to Mexico City at an early age.
In 2009 he went to study film production at Vancouver Film School. He wrote and Directed two student short films "Maple Leaves" and a short documentary "A life in Balance"
In 2012 he wrote and directed "Flight of the Hummingbird" his first professional short film entirely in Spanish, based in Mexico City. Shot with the Red Camera. (Starring Marco Zapata, DP Eduardo Flores ACM)
Julian took a screenwriting workshop at NYFA in 2012 where he wrote the first draft of his feature length script "13".
In 2013 he wrote and directed an Experimental Short Film entitled ̈Sonia Sueña ̈ in Cuernavaca, Morelos. In 2014 he also wrote and directed a romantic comedy short set in New York City, entitled “Just a Story".
His most recent short film is "Una Piedra en el Camino" in 2015 Starring Gustavo Sanchez Parra, and Sergio Yazbek as cinematographer. Shot in the desert of Coahuila, Mexico in 35 mm. It was Official Selection of The San Diego Latino Film Festival 2016 and Shorts Mexico 2016 and was nominated for two Pantalla de Cristal Awards 2016 (Best Actor, Best Cinematography).
Julian spent a couple years working on a new full length project. In 2019 he wrote and directed his first feature length film entitled “Escorpio” Starring Gustavo Sanchez Parra, Cecilia Camarena and Marco Zapata. With Sergio Yazbek as cinematographer. and shot with an Arri Alexa.
The independent Mexican film was Official Selection of the Medellin International Film Festival, Florence Film Awards (Best Original Screenplay), Soho International Film Festival (Nominee; Best International Feature Film) Palma de Mallorca International Films Infest Festival, Toronto International Film Awards (Nominee: Feature Film- Micro budget), London Movie Awards (Honorable Mention), Paris Film Awards (Best Indie Feature Film, Best Prodcuer, Best Actress) and 7 nominations to Pantalla de Cristal Awards 2021 (Best Director, Best Actor, Best Actress, Best Supporting Actor, Best Sound Design, Best Production Values, Best Art Direction.)
Writing has always been a passion of his since an early age. He has written nine full length screenplays; three in Spanish and another six in English. Written various short film screenplays in both languages.
